HHSC is a Royal Yachting Association recognised sail training centre and have taught over 1,000 people to sail in the 30 plus years since our training section was created. We offer Dinghy Sailing courses to Adult level 3 & junior stage 3 together with power/safety boat courses. We normally run one or two dinghy sailing courses each year and power/safety boat courses as needed. Our senior instructors and dinghy instructors are fully qualified RYA trainers and, together with our assistant instructors and safety boat operators, are trained First Aiders and have CRB/DBS clearance. To keep training costs to a minimum, everyone involved with our training centre is a volunteer who does not get paid for their work.
Adult dinghy courses take place over the course of a weekend (see below for dates and times) and are booked on a first come first served basis. It may be possible to take either a Level 1 or Level 2 course in isolation if sufficient spaces are available. Junior courses are normally held over three consecutive days in the school summer holidays.
We currently use Wayfarers and Wanderers for group sailing together with a range of small single handed dinghies for adult training and we have fleets of Bytes & Toppers for junior courses but we are continually improving our training fleet and these dinghies may change at any time.

"We would like to join Himley Sailing Club as a family membership.
Can I also say how glad I am that I picked Himley. The down to earth welcome from everyone has been fantastic. People have been helpful, supportive and friendly, This has also included the younger members of the club who are polite and a credit. Exactly what we needed."
